$9,500.00

60 x 72

6256 nails, canvas and paint on wood panel.

Big Sur to Carmel top of west coast meeting the Pacific. My dad and I traveled a fair bit together growing up. We spent a lot of time together just us. He has bilateral optic atrophy and 50 years my senior, I learn to navigate for the two of us rather easily but likely earlier than most. He hasn’t visited the west coast, I wanted to share the dramatic landscape with him through a method from my childhood. Spending our time at home tinkering in his woodworking shop, he was fearful of me loosing a limb under his eye with poor sight. So, I was supplied and equiped with a random piece of wood, hammer, and nails.
